Specialist Support for Trauma, Anxiety, Depression and Stress‑Related Difficulties

Anxiety and Stress
I support clients experiencing many forms of anxiety, including:
-
Generalised Anxiety Disorder (GAD) – persistent worry, overthinking, and difficulty relaxing
-
Health Anxiety – fear about illness or bodily sensations
-
Social Anxiety Disorder – fear of judgment, embarrassment, or social situations
-
Panic Disorder and Agoraphobia – panic attacks, fear of leaving home, or avoiding certain places
-
Specific Phobias – intense fear of particular situations or objects
Together, we work to understand what drives your anxiety and develop practical, effective strategies to help you feel more grounded and confident.

Depression
Depression can make everyday life feel heavy, overwhelming, or difficult to navigate. In therapy, we work together to understand the underlying factors contributing to your low mood, while developing practical, evidence‑based strategies to help you feel more stable, hopeful, and in control.
Using CBT, I support you in recognising unhelpful thought patterns, making meaningful behavioural changes, and building healthier coping strategies. Many clients find that this structured, collaborative approach helps reduce symptoms of depression, manage recurrent episodes, and create a more balanced and fulfilling outlook on life.
Whether you’re experiencing chronic depression, persistent low mood, or periods of emotional difficulty, therapy offers a safe space to explore what you’re going through and begin moving toward lasting change.

Trauma and PTSD
Traumatic experiences can leave a deep and lasting impact, affecting how you feel, think, and respond to the world around you. When memories feel overwhelming or difficult to manage, it can be hard to feel safe, grounded, or in control.
Using EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing) and trauma‑focused CBT, I offer structured, evidence‑based support to help you process these experiences safely and steadily. These approaches can reduce emotional intensity, shift unhelpful beliefs, and support meaningful healing from trauma.
I work with individuals who have lived through experiences such as childhood trauma, abuse, domestic violence, relationship trauma, and other deeply distressing or overwhelming events. Therapy is paced carefully, with a focus on helping you feel secure, understood, and supported throughout your recovery.
